Dalek I - Compas Kumpas

On this date in 1980, Dalek I released their debut album, Compass Kum pas . It included the singles, "Freedom Fighters", "The World" and "Destiny (Dalek I Love you)". None of the singles charted but the album reached the #54 spot on the U.K. albums chart.

The release was supposed to be under the name Dalek, I Love You but their distribution company changed the name on the release without informing them. At this time, the band included David Hughes of OMD and Alan Gill of The Teardop Explodes.
